The Little Jewel of Lake Como
The Little Jewel of Lake Como
Situated between Mandello del Lario and Varenna, an ancient town of Celtic origin, the roots of its name come from the Roman name Hibernia.
An ancient village dating back to the Celtic period, Lierna is a pretty little town famous for its “white beach”, one of the most beautiful in Lombardy. It is a free beach of white pebbles where in summer you can relax for a walk or sunbathe.
Lierna is also a stop on the Sentiero del Viandante (Wayfarer's Path), a famous trekking route that skirts the villages of Lake Como.
What to see during a visit to Lierna: Longobard castle, the small Romanesque church of Saints Maurice and Lazarus, the historical villas of Lierna.
A perfect mix of nature, elegance and tradition, ready to surprise you at every turn!
