Day 1: Como city tour and Brunate
Arrival in Como and meeting with the guide for a half-day guided tour of the historic centre. Strolling through the city’s streets, you will be able to admire the Duomo, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Lombardy, Piazza Cavour, the lakeside promenade and the city’s main monuments.
Lunch at a restaurant in the historic centre of Como, featuring a two-course menu with dessert, drinks and coffee included.
In the afternoon, take the historic Como–Brunate funicular railway up to the famous panoramic viewpoint overlooking Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, offering spectacular views of the area.
Day 2: Villa del Balbianello and Bellagio
A full day spent exploring the lake by public boat, with an all-day ticket valid on the Como – Lenno – Bellagio – Como route. The boat trip offers the chance to admire some of the lake’s most picturesque spots, characterised by historic villas, beautifully maintained gardens and charming villages overlooking the water.
Stop in Lenno to visit the gardens of Villa del Balbianello, a splendid 18th-century residence situated on a panoramic peninsula and surrounded by one of the most scenic parks on Lake Como.
Free time in Bellagio, known as the ‘Pearl of Lake Como’, to stroll through the elegant narrow streets, flower-lined stairways and characteristic shops of the historic centre.
Day 3: Lugano and Monte Brè
Depart from Como by your own means of transport to reach Lugano.
Meet your guide and enjoy a half-day guided tour to explore this elegant Swiss city, renowned for its charming historic centre, well-maintained city parks and picturesque lakeside promenade.
After the tour, enjoy some free time for lunch and a stroll through the centre of Lugano.
In the afternoon, travel by your own means to Cassarate, the starting point for the Monte Brè funicular.
Take the funicular up to Monte Brè, one of the most spectacular vantage points in the Canton of Ticino, offering splendid views of Lake Lugano, the Alps and the surrounding landscape.
At the end of the excursion, take the funicular back down and return to Como by your own means.
Day 4: Lecco and Varenna
Arrive in Lecco by your own means and meet your guide for a full day exploring Lecco and Varenna. Visit the town made famous by Manzoni, overlooking the eastern arm of Lake Como, with its elegant lakeside promenade and sites linked to the history and culture of the area.
Lunch at a restaurant in Lecco’s historic centre with a two-course menu, including dessert, drinks and coffee.
In the afternoon, transfer by train to Varenna, one of the most charming villages on the lake, characterised by picturesque narrow streets and splendid panoramic views. Visit to Villa Monastero, famous for its historic residence and spectacular botanical gardens overlooking the lake.
Return to Lecco by train and then by your own means to Como.
Day 5: End of the tour
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by free time to enjoy your final moments on Lake Como.
End of services and departure for your home towns.
