Lezzeno
A small and charming village
A small and charming village
Lezzeno, just a few kilometers from Bellagio, lies on the beautiful eastern shore of Lake Como. This charming village, made up of 17 picturesque hamlets, has a very ancient history: findings show that the area was already inhabited in Roman times.
The historic center of Lezzeno, though compact, is a true delight to explore, with its picturesque squares and charming corners. The main church, dedicated to Saints Quirico and Giuditta, dates back to the 15th century: simple and sober lines on the outside, but majestic interiors that tell centuries of history. Also worth visiting is the small Church of the Holy Trinity, recently restored, where 12th-century frescoes can be admired.
But Lezzeno doesn’t captivate only with its sights: it also tempts the palate with local lake fish specialties. Among these, the famous “missoltini” are a must-try, best enjoyed in one of the many traditional restaurants overlooking the lake, while taking in a truly unique and enchanting view.
A perfect mix of nature, elegance and tradition, ready to surprise you at every turn!
