Cernobbio is a town not far from Como at the foot of Monte Bisbino.
From Cernobbio you can easily reach Mount Bisbino (1325m) where you can admire a Sanctuary dating back to 1500.
The town is also home to Villa Erba, a prestigious multi-purpose centre where shows and events are staged, and Villa Nuova, which stands on the site of an ancient medieval monastery. The early parish church of San Vincenzo, which stands in one of the town's oldest alleys, is also worth a visit. Undoubtedly the most prestigious villa in town is Villa d'Este, today a luxurious hotel that hosts many famous people every year. Not to be missed is a walk along the picturesque lakeside promenade that amazes with its beauty and panorama.
